Cataracts are very common. In fact, more than 200,000 cases are reported in the United States each year. A Cataract is the clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye.
How are Cataracts treated?
When a Cataract begins to interfere with someone's usual activities, the cloudy lens can be replaced with a clear artificial lens. This is a generally safe procedure and is considered outpatient.
