Eye Conditions



There are many different types of eye conditions that you could experience. If not treated properly, these could have long-term consequences. Always be sure to contact your doctor if you are experiencing any problems. 

Below are a few common eye conditions: 


Amblyopia (Lazy Eye)

Lazy eye is a loss or lack of development of vision, usually in one eye. Typically, this condition is noticed during infancy or early childhood. Lazy eye can be difficult to notice because children do not always show symptoms. Be sure to have your child's eyes examined regularly. 

Blepharitis

This is a general term for inflammation of the eyelid and eyelashes. This is one of most common eye conditions. Typically, this condition results from poor eyelid hygience, a low grade bacterial infection, an allergic reaction, or oil gland functioning abnormally. 

Computer Vision Syndrome

This syndrome is characted by neck pain, blurry vision, stiff shoulders, headache, and watery eyes while working on a computer or other digital screen. Typically, this is caused by poor posture, dry eyes, or poorly corrected vision. 

Dry Eye Syndrome

This refers to the breakdown in quality or quantity of tears to moisten, cleanse, and protect the eyes. When this occurs, it can cause sensitivity to light and sometimes blurry vision.
